The Ballpark at America First Square
South Jordan, UT
Project Description
The Ballpark at America First Square, the new home of the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees, opened in April 2025 and quickly became the centerpiece of Downtown Daybreak—a 200-acre mixed-use urban center located in South Jordan, Utah. Designed by HOK and built by Okland Construction, the privately funded, 8,000-seat stadium offers an intimate baseball experience with field-level VIP suites, club areas, and a 12,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse featuring Major League-caliber training facilities and batting cages. Fans enjoy stunning Wasatch Mountain views from a field with 345-foot foul lines and 385-foot alleys, all framed by a mountain-inspired perforated metal facade that glows at night. Family-friendly touches include a kids play zone, lawn seating, fireworks, and drone shows, with exclusive Bees merchandise available at the Team Store.
Seamlessly integrated into Downtown Daybreak, the stadium welcomes visitors through America First Square, which is activated as a year-round community hub, hosting concerts, summer games, ice skating, and holiday lights. The surrounding sports entertainment district includes a new Megaplex theater, boutique shops/restaurants, and a Salt Lake County Performing Arts Center. Expected to draw over one million visitors annually and host more than 200 events—including the Bees’ 75 home games—the venue delivers a world-class experience for fans and anchors a dynamic destination for the entire region.
