The San Juan Regional Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center is a single-story, 16,000sf medical facility located in downtown Farmington, New Mexico. The building’s focal point includes a linear accelerator and vault constructed of four- to seven-foot thick reinforced concrete walls. The building consists of: concrete foundations and floor slabs; light steel structural framing; steel roof deck with rigid insulation; and TPO single ply membrane roofing. The building was designed to promote health and accommodate service vital to comprehensive care, such as a Zen garden, meditation room, and waiting areas and treatment rooms designed to reduce stress.
