Project Description
The Yuma County Main Library is an 80,000sf, $18 million new library facility that is the anchor of a six-facility, county-wide library system. It has the capacity for more than 250,000 volumes. Unique features of the library include a dual dropoff automatic book sorting system with driveup and walk-up access. Additionally, the library includes a drive-up window for material pick-up. 

The library features a unique children’s area with faux stone that includes a large reading cave, a faux tree and scaled down version of Yuma’s “Ocean to Ocean Bridge.” The young adult area has all the latest in technology and is secluded from the rest of the library, while aintaining visual supervision. The facility includes a café, public meeting spaces, administration offices, and outdoor patio spaces surrounding the facility.
